An innovative, practical, and imaginative guide
In New Vision, New Reality, Donald Klein (with the assistance of Kathleen Morrow) presents an innovative, practical, and imaginative guide to infusing our daily lives with energy, joy, and creativity. We can reconfigure our ordinary lives through our personal perceptions and the removal of self-imposed protective "filters" to see and experience the good things in our lives more fully and completely. Guided exercises are offered which illustrated how we can stop projecting our fears and self-induced limitations in order to bolster and enhance our appreciation for what live has to offer each of us, regardless of our present circumstances, conditions, or situations. Notable Women in Mathematics
Published in Hardcover by Greenwood Press (June, 1998)
Authors: Charlene Morrow and Teri Perl
Average review score:

Well worth reading!
This is a very good book, not only informative, but it kept me interested where so many other books on the subjects of math or women mathematicians could be real yawners. It includes lots of information, the biographies are short and don't drag on, and books like this could be very inspirational to young women interested in pursuing careers in math. The book introduces all sorts of women in math, most of whom I was not familiar with before reading it. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about math-related careers, the growing importance of women in the field, or is just looking for some good non-fiction to read. It's worth it!

Well, if you do hate cats, you'll laugh your way through this book of drawings. Placing kitties in perilous predicaments is the objective here. Let your mind do the walking. Great book for relaxing with (yes, really).

Out in the World: Gay and Lesbian Life from Buenos Aires to Bangkok
Published in Hardcover by Random House (October, 1992)
Authors: Neil Miller and Bradford Morrow
Average review score:

gays of the world are here!
This book was great. In it, Miller visits every continent inhabited by humans and speaks with local gays about their lives. The great thing is, he makes a point of speaking to lesbians, gays of color, and the HIV-positive in all these countries. This would be a great book for gays and lesbians of color to read. There are two chapters on Thailand and this may feel a little exploitative and sex-touristy, but Miller is an obvious progressive and wouldn't mean to offend intentionally. While reading this book, you will ask yourself how Miller got the money to do so much travelling and investigating in the first place. Readers will wish they had the opportunities that the author had. This book was both informative and fun.

Proclus' Commentary on Plato's Parmenides
Published in Paperback by Princeton Univ Pr (01 October, 1992)
Authors: Glenn R. Morrow, John M. Dillon, and Proclus
Average review score:

A great survey of the Neo-Platonic philosophy
This is one of the best books by Proclus Diadochus and we are also lucky to have this excellent translation by G.R. Morrow and J.M. Dillon. If anybody is interested in the Neo-Platonic philosophy, or in the ancient philosophy, he should not miss this book. Even if it is rather difficult for a beginner to read long discourses of Proclus on the most important topics of the philosophy, noone should leave this book without careful reading. If you have read the Elements of Theology by Proclus, then you are able to understand everything Proclus is telling us. This book thinks about the most difficult dialogue of Plato - about the Parmenides. In the beginning you are connected with the amazing world of Proclus' allegorical interpretation of Plato's dialogue. Then you can study the world of Ideas as seen by Proclus - you can learn about four problems concerning the Ideas, i.e. whether there are Ideas; what things have Ideas; what is the participation like; and finally where are the Ideas. Proclus shows you all the levels of the realms of the One (Hen) and the Mind (Nous) and you can enjoy also the Proclus' dialectics in the end of the Commentary. The author also tells us a lot of Ideas about the negative theology tells in the last book. The translation is as well of the best value.

The Rain Doesn't Fall Straight Down: A Positive Slant on Marriage Relationships
Published in Hardcover by Xlibris Corporation (September, 2001)
Author: William R. Morrow
Average review score:

An Insider's Look at Relationship Counseling
With humor and insight gained from considerable experience as a practicing marriage therapist, Dr. William Morrow dons his referee shirt or flak jacket as the case may be and leads the reader on a journey across the reefs of marital discord. Morrow begins his collection of essays with an insider's look at the therapist' role. He concedes most folks come to therapy convinced of their own rightness and are waiting for the therapist to discover this and announce the obvious winner. They will first have to endure an episode of active listening. Admitting a bias in favor of marriage and the sustained relationship, Morrow, who is an ordained minister as well as a therapist, urges his clients to bring openness and courage to the therapy. Viewing relationship as a solid ship within which one is better prepared for both the joyous and the dire consequences of living, Morrow urges patience and committed listening to all participants.

Knute Rocken Young Athelete by Guernsey Van Riper Jr.is an excellent book for kids eleven to fifteen years of age. I would recommend
this book to boys more then girls because of the fact the main charter is a
young man and in the most parts of the book is about Knute as an
athlete. In this book, Knute the main charter, does many breath taking
things. Guernsey Van Riper Jr. gets the reader caught on his hook to
read this book. The events make them want to fall out of their chair.
Knute has a sister Anne who takes him out to the berry patch to gather
berries. On their way back from the berry patch Knute decides that he
wants to go swimming so Anne gives in and joins Knute. Suddenly . I
will leave you hanging. Try to get your hands on this book before it is
gone, Also try to get your hands on some of the other books that Guernsey
Van Riper Jr. has written.

The Selected Poems of Kenneth Rexroth
Published in Paperback by New Directions Publishing (September, 1984)
Authors: Bradford Morrow and Bradford Morrow
Average review score:

Rexroth, A great Teacher in San Francisco
I am amazed whe I go into a bookstore in San Francisco and find that they don't carry any of Kenneth Rexroth' many books. For many of us that lived in San Francisco during his life he was the teacher. Very few creative artists have been as generous in praising other artists.

His poetry has it's own flavor. Particularly touching are the series written over many years about his first wife Andree. Go to the library!read him!
